Re: 2023/24 Kit

Two nasty habits preying on the vulnerable. Either way it's not a good look.

Re: Rovers v Preston

What concerns me is we needed someone while he was still here... so we kinda need that still and another in the most expensive/hardest position to recruit. I'm not that hopeful for our position next season as a result.

We will almost certainly finish 2nd now I've said that.

Re: Rovers v Preston

It's not like we didn't see it coming... about 7 months ago I seem to remember we thought this would be the likely outcome. Gotta wonder who we are going to find to score us goals next season though.

Finally, if Tomasson gets Rovers in the playoffs, Championship gaffer of the year. Thoughts?
I think maybe someone else already has that sewn up as you have rather alluded to.

Re: FA Cup - Sheff Utd v Rovers

Subjective is the problem here because it's made only a very small part of a wider rule subjective. When a ref could just use common sense (was this deliberate) then we didn't see these issues. I don't think VAR should be even looking at these and if they do, they should never do so in slow motion. ...

Re: FA Cup - Sheff Utd v Rovers

I suspect that's because you haven't embraced the application of a rule entirely for the sake of its own existence and are still getting distracted by the game in which that rule is embedded, as if it's expected to serve some sort of useful function there. Clarity is achieved by letting go of such m...

Re: FA Cup - Sheff Utd v Rovers

I find those a little more logical although the reason for it being used is no longer apparently a factor in the application of the rule making for stupid outcomes in the wider context of a game situation. So maybe you are right. Fuck me, I miss the old days when you could punch the left back while ...

Re: FA Cup - Sheff Utd v Rovers

The handball implementation is now utterly farcical. It's a total coin toss how a decision might go.

Taken as part of the season as a whole, it's all good so far. I'm holding on to the big picture which is positive.

Re: FA Cup - Sheff Utd v Rovers

Gah. On the plus side I was frustrated enough after that to overcome my pizza induced carb coma and go for a run so some good came of it.

So winnable though :|
