Re: New Manager poll - select your top three choices
Wharton also said the club was starting to show signs of neglect behind the scenes. Run on a shoestring. The training ground needed improvements, staff levels at an all time low, people leaving not being replaced, etc. I suppose these comments by Wharton are an interesting perspective on what are th...

Re: New Manager poll - select your top three choices
Yeah it's a strange one as there are lots of unknowns but of the things we know is that the club weren't prepared for Mowbray announcing he was leaving, but that is really the fault of Waggott and Venky's not speaking to him about contracts. The other things we know is that we shortlisted 5 and int...

Re: New Manager poll - select your top three choices
I can't decide whether this process being a bit drawn out is a good thing or a bad thing. Its surely a good thing that the right amount of thought is going into this, the right amount of conversations and discussions, and taking time over a decision is usually the way to go. I also like the way that...

Re: New Manager poll - select your top three choices
I honestly wouldn’t know who to pick, especially over the stability we already have. Farke seems like the obvious choice given his proven ability to get teams out of this league although I just wonder at what cost, especially since he’s said he isn’t really looking for jobs in the championship. Ther...

Re: Preston game
https://twitter.com/iuke1875/status/1519751979874017280 This seems a fair summation. I could understand if this was Mowbray's decision to move on after 5 years and this season must have been incredibly frustrating to be in a very solid position to go up but have no risks taken in January when Brere...

Re: Preston game
If we make the playoffs, I'll design a new Roverstalk logo to celebrate. There I said it. Got to keep our four regulars happy. 5 regulars ;) :necro: How's things amigo? A lots happened in the last 13 years but generally all good. Married with two young daughters, who I am trying to ge...

Re: Preston game
I generally feel Mowbray has done an excellent job, even taking the previous shit show out of the equation. He has worked within his means and moulded a team in his own image, full of character, hard work and camaraderie. He has used the resources around him well, and has overhauled the backroom fun...

OK... Understood
What's everyone's (all four of you) feeling about Mowbray's imminent departure?

Re: Rovers v City, 28th Dec, 4:15pm
My thoughts on the game... All in all, i feel sick to my stomach that we didnt close the game out. After working really hard to get ourselves 2-0, i really couldnt see any way back for City. But as soon as we scored that 2nd goal, we seemed to decide we'd done enough and decide we just wernt going t...

Moon is right - Roberts IS a big steaming pile of donkey shite.Rover the Moon wrote:Flicking it round Sonko is fine and dandy when you have a smidgin of finishing ability. He was mightily fortunate that his 25th missed one on one this season fell to a finisher
If he could finish he'd at least be half a player

Re: Rovers vs Stoke
...It was nice to win on Saturday, but anyone taking a balanced view will know that 3-0 flattered us. I thought 3-0 flattered them... Really - they didnt work Robinson at all. I really only remembering him making one save. On the other hand, I remember Roberts missing three one on ones, Pederson mi...
