Re: The Club Formerly Known As Frank Lampard's Now Wayne Rooney's Derby County v Blackburn Rovers, Sun 8 March 2020, KO

Good conversation. Perhaps the highlight of the offseason will be Rovers’ acquire a top left back.

Perhaps when play begins again, one of the young forwards will step up and score some goals. There is a position open for the taking, if someone would... well, just take it!

Re: 2019/2020 season

Welcome aboard. We are all going to have to find something else to do during this long break from sports. Everything is over for a good long while. Man needs sports; I’m afraid crime goes up. It’s almost a miracle we are within reach of a playoff place. It’s certainly been a rollercoaster ride. When...

Thanks, guys, for answering my question. So Warnock was the last really solid left back, & he was 11 years ago. Olsson the year we went down.

So, it’s been awhile... time for another, eh?

Dutch, Very thoughtful post, with many good points. I favor signing Tosin & Walton as well; alas, just two loaners, I think. We might have made a serious promotion push, had Dacky & Holtby not been lost. Also, Cunningham went down at a bad time, I favored his level of play the short time he was here...

Re: My trip to Ewood.

Duggy, Couldn’t have done it without you, my friend. We had a great time in Liverpool, even if we weren’t there long enough. Three other high points of our trip: I loved our day trip to Leeds castle, Dover & Canterbury. Also, we enjoyed Bath; my second time there, her first. Bath “after dark”, comed...

Happy birthday Waco! :hyper:
Thanks, Gibbon! (Birthday today, I keep forgetting Rovers play tomorrow)

My ol’ college roomie just picked me up, we’re going to Nacogdoches today to see our old school (Stephen F. Austin), baseball & basketball. Beautiful day here in Texas!

Thanks, guys! It was a blast, and I hope not a “once in a lifetime” kinda deal. Loads of other pic’s at Ewood.

Re: My trip to Ewood.

It literally turned his world upside down. (this will make no sense once I fix the picture orientation) Ha ha, many thanks, Ethiaa!! Jenny was a great host. She has worked for Rovers since 1996, so she has known ‘em all...Shearer, Cole, Freidel, etc. she said Freidel is “lovely man” & one of her fa...

My trip to Ewood.

We went to Ewood Park back in September; train from Liverpool to Preston, changed trains to Blackburn (yall know how it's done, ha) Jenny was our guide...she asked me what we wanted to see, I told her everything, & she obliged us. Locker rooms, Tony's hospitality suite, the original 1875 boardroom, ...

Re: The Club Formerly Known As Frank Lampard's Now Wayne Rooney's Derby County v Blackburn Rovers, Sun 8 March 2020, KO

We are down to our last 10 fixtures, with the result from the first encounter: @Derby, W Bristol, W @Wigan, tie @ Barnsley, W LeedsU, L @Cardiff, tie WBA, L @ Millwall, W Reading, W @Luton, L We picked up 17 points the first time around vs these clubs, losing only to Leeds, WBA, & laughingly, Luton....

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Swansea City, Sat 29 Feb 2020, KO 1500

I guess I will allow myself to think about @Derby & Bristol now... At least we get Lenihan back vs Bristol. If we can luck out in either of those two, we might maintain playoff push. Unlikely, it’s true, but with two ties this week, aren’t we closer to final playoff spot than we were before Stoke? ...
