Conceding the first goal has been at the root of our problems. Once the opposition is forced to come out and attack, different game altogether.

Re: Rovers vs. Doncaster, FA Cup: Post-match
After their experience with multi choice managers Venkys will be understandably reluctant to wield the axe, particularly in the light of some of the antics going on at Sheffield Wednesday, Watford and other clubs. Nevertheless I'm with most fans who are willing for Mowbray to see the season out - he...

No one has mentioned Kaminski who brought off the save of the season after the Brum sub was clear through in the box. And Douglas has earned another game.

Injuries to Wharton, Williams and Ayala taking their toll. We appear to only attack with menace on the right hand side with Elliott and Nyambe. Douglas and Gallagher just don't operate together well. I'd be happy for Dolan, Butterworth or Downing to get a start on the left wing on Boxing Day along w...

I was almost embarrassed when Arma put that in. I drew three conclusions from that game. We still haven't resolved the left back position, Ayala is our best cb and Buckley could do with another twelve months. I appreciate that fatigue and injuries force TM in using players that should be rested, and...

Re: Quarantine in the Aviary Edition: Blackburn Rovers v Norwich City, Sat 12 Dec 2020, KO 1500
The possession stats are misleading. We do an enormous amount of passing in our own half, passing back to Kaminski etc. Lenihan nearly scored an og by passing back to his goalkeeper from near on the half way line. If we had half as much possession but in the opponents half that would be significant....

I wonder if Tyler Magloire might be recalled from Hartlepool.

Brereton, Evans, Williams, Wharton, Douglas, Travis, Bennett, JRC, Dack -is a return in sight for any of these? Fit players are a bit thin on the ground at the moment.

Who would have thought at the beginning of the season that we were hoping for Wharton to be back? The lad has improved immensely, certainly not in Tosin's class yet, but a darned sight better than Ayala, who looked a tad over the top as a player last night. With Douglas and Wharton back we have a fa...

That's the difference from last season when we'd have dominated play and lost by the odd goal.
Does anyone else dislike the ifollow commentary? Much prefer Andy Bayes and Kevin Gallagher on Radio Lancs.

So important to have strength in depth. Holtby, Travis, Evans and Dack missing but Rothwell and hopefully Downing back, however I'm guessing Buckley will get a start. Not sure what to make of this lad - got stacks of promise but I can't help thinking he's not quite ready yet.

I still can't quite believe that Ayala is Rovers' highest paid player.Thorisgodpoo wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 3:34 amI honestly don't want to see Ayala playing. He didn't inspire a lot of confidence for me, seemed like he has a completely different skill set to what we need with our play style.

Re: Quarantine in a hat edition: Blackburn Rovers @ Luton
Apart from Dack and Travis, on Saturday we should be fielding our strongest team. If we don't win this I don't see us winning anything. The time for excuses is over.
