Re: Brexit....or in.

I thought someone on here had mentioned Magid Magid before, can't find where... https://www.politico.eu/article/magid-magid-whats-disappointed-me-in-my-first-two-weeks-in-brussels/ It seems he's had his eyes opened after being voted in as an MEP. It would be easy for Leave supporters to say "told yo...

Re: General Election

I've already answered the point. So long as Corbyn is there, Labour members can spread anti-semitic views so long as they're smart enough not to blurt something indefensible out.

Re: Cricket

What are you talking about, what difference does it make that England were all out? You can't make up new rules retrospectively to fit what you want the outcome to be. Stokes and Wood wouldn't have attempted a highly unlikely second from the last ball if being run out meant they would lose ins...

Re: General Election

"You're" as in any person in general - why would you personally be setting the bar for the Labour party policy? :D

Re: Cricket

Yeah amazing stuff, I think across the tournament England deserved the victory but we had a lot of good fortune. Really just an incredible sequence of events. Was reading today that the deflection off Stokes' bat for the additional 4 runs should have been awarded as 5 instead of 6 as neither Stokes...

Re: Cricket

Utterly brilliant match yesterday. Seems harsh on New Zealand that they "lost" on a boundary count, another super over or sharing the trophy would seem more fitting. I've seen some suggest New Zealand should have won because they lost fewer wickets, but that misses the point that Rashid wouldn't hav...

Re: General Election

I thought we were discussing expulsion for exhibiting anti-semitic sentiment. If you're setting the bar for that at saying something direct and obvious, then there's possibly no one to expel. I'd say a sustained pattern of circumstantial evidence is just as damning. But, and this was my point earlie...

Re: General Election

Well, there are those who seem to believe everyone who wants to leave the EU belongs to the far-right - but then whataboutery isn't a defence anyway. The argument that sharing a platform with someone isn't necessarily condoning their views falls a bit flat when Corbyn won't share a platform with peo...

Re: General Election

If you're saying it's an automatic expulsion, does it matter if it's a genuine deep seated attitude, or a failure to see the implication of what you say and do? There's enough evidence against Corbyn for it to be impossible for Labour to adopt a true zero tolerance policy. Meanwhile the Tory leaders...

Things could be a lot worse for exanple if you are a Newcastle fan or even worse a Bolton fan who if you look at their current playing staff on their website makes scary viewing.

Re: General Election

Tom Watson's interview on radio 4 after the panorama program on anti semitism was very interesting; pretty much called out Corbyn to change the party rules to allow auto expulsion of members who exhibit anti semitic sentiment. Will be very interesting to see if that happens. Why would Corbyn change...

Of course I did, that's what having a conversation with you and BlackBat consists of - making illogical arguments about things which are unrelated to the initial point so you can continue to argue. You may disagree however :hyper:
