Re: New Manager poll - select your top three choices

OK the only manager we should appoint is Pep Guardiola. Don't be daft. He's only had success playing in the top divisions across Europe. And his style of play is radically different, it just wouldn't work with the squad we've developed under Mowbray. Plus Man City miss loads of penalties......

Re: New Manager poll - select your top three choices

Good at what? Having some success in League 2 and League 1 playing an effective but limited style of football? In the context of Venky's appointing someone to continue the work of Mowbray and how we've developed our squad of players, why would he be a good appointment? You must have actual reasons ...

Re: New Manager poll - select your top three choices

We've had this February slump every season in the Championship with Mowbray and the same thing happened in a season when he was at Middlesbrough... There was only 15 points separating 5th and Swansea in 15th. It's a division of fine margins. Also if depth of resources determines is such a l...

Re: New Manager poll - select your top three choices

I really don't like this we overachieved so it's okay that we had bottom of the table form for over 3 months. You don't have to like it, but you're only deluding yourself if you measure what we had against the rest of the teams in the division and conclude we should have done better. I say this abo...

Re: New Manager poll - select your top three choices

I'm very disappointed Nordic Bakeware isn't an option. I may be proved wrong, but I don't see what replacing Mowbray is actually going to achieve. Despite the dismal second half to the season, I think we overachieved. I think we're lacking in quality and experience, relying more than ever on our you...

Re: Today's random stupidity story...

Don't be silly, it's just teething problems. All the amazing benefits are just around that next corner you can see in the distance if you squint really hard. No, not that one, a bit further on. Maybe the one after that. Ahh, brexit fanatics crack me up  Fanatics is the word alright. It's also ...

Neither Hull nor the league come out of this looking particularly great. I don't know which deserves the greater criticism.

Re: Today's random stupidity story...

I'm not sure many people hear that narrative..... Well, perhaps remind yourself how the generations that voted in 1975 then voted in 2016. Just shows that people change their mind; perhaps we should have yet another vote on the topic to see what the mood is now, eh? Sure, 2057 seems an apt date.

Re: Today's random stupidity story...

It's this magic thing called "compromise". They believe stronger measures should be in place, so voting against some measures being put in place would be cutting off one's own nose.... It's not a difficult concept.... Well, it seems to be a tricksy concept for you, as in a "compromis...

Re: Today's random stupidity story...

As for "the opposition", it isn't their job to immediately oppose the government on principle. If you notice, they aren't agreeing on everything, they would go far further if they were in government. So really not the same thing. I don't particularly agree with their viewpoint either. I c...

Re: Today's random stupidity story...

The fucking stupid thing was joining in the first place without getting public consent. Actually a pretty good example of the mess that can be created when both major parties collude to take democracy off the table. You mean getting public consent like in the 1975 referendum? The really crazy thing...

Re: Today's random stupidity story...

Sounds a good argument, until you remember it was "the privileged" who decided we were going to join the EU in the first place, and held off going to the public for so long. Whilst democracy isn't perfect, it does allow you your own little corner of stupidity, if you want it. Losing that w...
