Re: Current Events/News
It's not just the journalists. Whitty uses the same charts too. :footinmouth: Yeah, well he's enjoying his 15 minutes. The media should be scrutinising what he provides rather than just regurgitating it. Funny that they're trying to back pedal on that now, given it makes the rate the worst in the w...

Don't forget that hw also wants Mowbray out.RoverthePennines wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 6:27 pmWhat you’re saying is that you’re against loans because they don’t help Rovers in the long run, Mowbray is just stating that it’s a shame that the loaned player has to go back. If he agreed with you he wouldn’t sign loan players

Re: Rovers vs. Doncaster, FA Cup: Post-match
Ayala & Douglas have been far off their performance this year, we won’t lose much when they return to their clubs. Didn’t we sign Ayala on a 3 year deal? 😀 You are right, but based on what we’ve seen from him so far (or, what we’ve NOT seen from him), I don’t have any wildly successful expectat...

Re: Rovers vs. Doncaster, FA Cup: Post-match
I see the good sense in getting Branthwaite; if we are truly close to a playoff spot, we weren’t getting there with Johnson as a centre-back. We might with Branthwaite. As far as Ayala goes, I read too many pieces from places he’s played previously- he’s injury-prone. No surprise he’s done this sea...

Re: Rovers vs. Doncaster, FA Cup: Post-match
So aside from Tosin, all the others there were loanees that we bought, and all excellent pieces of business. So your band aid analogy clearly is mosguided: try before you buy is a much better shout. And even if you want to and can't afford the player, why not take advantage of having them in any case?

Re: Rovers vs. Doncaster, FA Cup: Post-match
Hmm... band aid. So like when we loaned David Bentley, what a terrible piece of business that was. Tom Cairney was another shocker. Tosin last year, he was a terrible loanee too. And, even though I said he'd be great at the time ( :D  ) Danny Graham was definitely the worst loan deal Rovers ev...

Re: Current Events/News
Whatever. Walking one inch from your house is therefore "travelling". The whole point is there is no legal definition of "your area" or "local area". It's interpretive. I mean, our local galaxy cluster group is called exactly that: local; so anywhere there is f...

Re: Current Events/News
Hardly - you're proving my point by putting forward different interpretations and spins on the written guidance as published. You seem to think there's some difference between "exercising" by cycling and "travelling" by cycling. If that's true, then there is no reason to...

Re: Current Events/News
"Local area" isn't any kind of legal definition, if they meant Local Authority Area they could say that. Prior to Johnson's bike ride, the NPCC had already clarified that there was no legal distance that was enforceable; and the precedence for that was already set by the first lockdown. Th...

Re: Current Events/News
Depends whether he rode there or not. If he did, it's fine, if not... we'll it's still fine, but advised against. Yet police elsewhere in the country have been handing out fines for people doing just that. The lockdown guidance says it is law, not advisory, and you will be fined for being outside y...

Depends whether he rode there or not. If he did, it's fine, if not... we'll it's still fine, but advised against. Was amusing listening to Carney ambush Cressida Dick over it this morning though. The craziest thing there is that Matt Hancock thinks you can go for a walk and legitimately end up 7 mil...

Why bother fishing it out. Just install the NHS covid app on your phone and let them sync up together....
