Re: Blackburn Rovers v Derby County, Sat 7 Dec 2019, KO 15:00

Rovers now have parity over goals scored and conceded which can be a good marker of how the season is going. Giving as good as you get is a good starting point for kicking on into the second half of the season. Cut out the silly results like Charlton and Luton and we'd have been in the playoffs.

Another dreary draw. Got down to the last 4 balls and we missed Burnley!
Yup we missed Burnley by a couple of balls in the bag!......Arsenal v Leeds looks like the tie of the round.

Re: Stoke City v Blackburn Rovers, Sat, 30 Nov 2019, KO 15:00

Next three games for Rovers are Derby at home then Swansea and Bristol City away. It wasn't looking too good three games previous but Rovers have ground out three wins. I have been impressed with Rovers one touch passing going forward. A delight to watch when it comes off. Listening to Barnsley and ...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Brentford, Wed, 27 Nov 2019, KO 19:45

A candidate for Rovers goal of the season tonight. Not bad too for a team that struggles to defend. Another injury returnee in the shape of Brereton. Its been difficult to find things going right for Rovers of late but maybe just maybe Rovers fortunes have changed. Oddly enough the injury to Sam Gal...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Barnsley, Sat, 23 Nov 2019, KO 15:00

The growls from the crowd can have a long term negative response from the players. You only have to look at the face of Bradley Dack after the winning goal last Saturday. Rather than celebrate with the crowd it was more like Oh ye of little faith!...similar to Russell Crowe in gladiator...Are you no...

Not too difficult to know one of Brentford's weaknesses. Play high balls into the box and put the keeper under pressure.

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Barnsley, Sat, 23 Nov 2019, KO 15:00

Barnsley changed their manager this week because they were bottom of the league. So have Stoke and so have Huddersfield lately. If Rovers were in a similar position i would not be defending Tony Mowbray. The fact that Rovers are not currently at risk of relegation means quite simply to me is carry o...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Barnsley, Sat, 23 Nov 2019, KO 15:00

Rovers have already been beaten at home by two of last seasons promoted teams so why not go for the treble. Serioulsy though is anyone confident of a victory on Saturday. It is the bad luck with defensive injuries that are Rovers problem. You just know to win this game Rovers will have to score at l...

Re: Harry Chapman

Tony Mowbray is considering sending Harry Chapman out on loan in January. We don't see the Harry Chapman who turns up for training does a few dribbles and goes home. According to TM he wanted to see a better approach to his game before he could be considered for the first team. This could be one of ...

Re: Leeds United v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 9 Nov 2019, KO 15:00

Roll on january where perhaps we can bring in some players who can add to Rovers defensive needs. If Mowbray wants to spend that transfer window bemoaning how much players can cost and not sign anyone then be prepared for another twelve months of drudgery. Go back twelve months and he tried to bring...

Re: Leeds United v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 9 Nov 2019, KO 15:00

With a little optimism maybe Rovers can avoid No Points Delivered. November Playing Days of which this is the second hopefully will be better than October. Naive Participant Defending hopefully will not return to haunt Rovers.

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Sheffield Wednesday, Sat 2 Nov 2019, KO 15:00(?)

We will all take this result gratefully after a run of unlucky injuries and unfavourable results. Sheff Wednesday might be rueing their luck but Rovers deserved some and we got it today. Nothing certain in football of course and some interesting news today that Stoke are looking towards Preston's Al...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Sheffield Wednesday, Sat 2 Nov 2019, KO 15:00(?)

Slightly better news on the injuries front (it couldn't get much worse) Lewis Holtby maybe back for the Sheffield Wednesday game. Samuel and Brereton are back on th grass accroding to Tony Mowbray and need a run out in the development squad before being considered. Speaking of which Harry Chapman sc...

Re: Preston North End v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 26 Oct 2019, KO 15:00

Confirmed today that Joe Grayson is out for the season after he had surgery. I have never known so many injuries to players which are linked to one area of the squad. It will be a while before we see Lenihan and Cunningham which leaves Rovers hoping there are no more injuries around the defensive po...
