Re: Current Events/News

Why did they need to invent a new ventilator? Ventilators that function exist, they need more of them not entirely different ones. What a waste of funding.

Re: The Club Formerly Known As Frank Lampard's Now Wayne Rooney's Derby County v Blackburn Rovers, Sun 8 March 2020, KO

That's cos all the other sites are LITERALLY THE WORST FUCKING SITES in the WHOLE FUCKING WORLD . On a non-Blackburn note, I think Ian Harte was an outstanding left back who I will forever remember in large part due to that hat-trick of free kicks against us. The third felt like the least surprisin...

Re: The Club Formerly Known As Frank Lampard's Now Wayne Rooney's Derby County v Blackburn Rovers, Sun 8 March 2020, KO

Left back... who was Rovers last great left back? It's too easy to say Bill Eckersley. Nobody actually likes Le Saux. I suppose Martin Olsson was OK but not 'great'. Unsal was a great left back everywhere he played except for us - and the Rivaldo thing makes him a superstar forever. So Stig Inge Bj...

Re: Brentford v Blackburn Rovers

I should clarify, on a gradient of mistakes, it’s not like a 10/10 nailed on howler, but in terms of positioning I’d say it’s a 5 or a 6for not carrying out the basics.

Re: Brentford v Blackburn Rovers

Don’t think you can blame Raya for the first, he was left in the shit by an error in front of him. No? He either had to stay put or beat Armstrong to his second touch. By doing neither, he gave Arma a clear sight. Not to take anything away from the finish, but Raya made the decision to go for the l...

Re: Brentford v Blackburn Rovers

I thought Raya showed why Tony didn’t fully trust him. Kept them in it with Armstrong’s one on one, but suspect positioning for our first and equally questionable decision making for the second. Seemed like his defender had him covered. As a goalkeeper myself (obviously not professional so I’m judgi...

a hypothesis that is presented as fact whilst being amended to suit fresh data. To be fair, there are plenty of historians of science and disciples of Steve Woolgar and Bruno Latour that would argue that is how all science works, and the only way establish facts to enrol support for hypotheses thro...

Nerve racking stuff this :?
Spent the last half hour bracing myself for 2-2 or even 2-3. Rothwell might not have gotten many assists this season but he offers so much more in terms of pace and ball retention compared to Bennett. Changed the Rovers game plan completely when he went off.

That Wayne bloke on iFollow is a fucking pillock. For all the genuine mistakes Walton has made, he’s trying to pin North End’s equaliser in him as well.

My daughter was born this morning so not even Rovers can ruin my day for once.
Congratulations :P
Thank you. I also concur with your thoughts on squad rotation. Given Johnson’s hit and miss form, I’d be interested in seeing a Travis/Davenport combo. Or even Brad Lyons

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Birmingham City, Thu 26 Dec 2019, KO 1500

In some ways Dack, like Rhodes before him, inhibits the way we play - i.e. we played to their strengths. This could be a a chance for Brereton and Gallagher et al to profit from that change of dynamic. I certainly think Brereton would benefit from playing in a two up top, which we don’t really have ...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Wigan Athletic, Mon 23 Dec 2019, KO 1745

Tosin apparently got a knock in training, we need him on Thursday. Try as he might, Williams is a poor replacement -we badly need another centre half for next season to play alongside Lenihan (who did not have a great game last night,- having said that, nobody else did either apart from Walton). Th...

Wigan was probably Coccium to Romans, just as an impromptu, unimpressive archaeological aside
