Re: Quarentine Edition: Barnsley v Blackburn Rovers, Tue 30 June 2020, KO 1800

New blood is an unrealistic expectation imo, covid has crippled football finances so I'd expect the squad to stay largely the same, bar free-agents. I still believe there are some good youngsters ready to make the jump, look at how Travis, Buckley and JRC have stepped up this season. Magloire, Grays...

Re: Quarentine Edition: Barnsley v Blackburn Rovers, Tue 30 June 2020, KO 1800

We do play to the oppositions level/league position, we've looked decent against other top half teams then shat the bed against relegation teams; losing to luton, Charlton etc

Re: Quarantine Edition: Wigan Athletic v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 27 June 2020, KO 15:00

Exactly, sure we were in the playoff hunt but no way we were close to prem quality. We've beaten last season's points haul and have looked competitive for longer spells than last year. It's disappointing to be sure but we have some promising youngsters who could compete next year and the "passing" s...

Have to blood the youth now, no chance of playoffs losing to Barnsley and Wigan. Who cares about results, we beat last season's total and are deffo safe, find out who is up to it; Chapman, magloire, Grayson, davenport etc

Re: 2019/2020 season

Disappointing result today, but more broadly what do people make of the new 4-3-3 false 9 formation? Seems to give us good possession but have lacked a bit in the final third. How do we move forward next season (assuming we stay in championship), can Dack play as a false 9 in the 4-3-3? Tony always ...

We need a leftie at fullback, Bennett is fine defensively but every attack he has to pull back onto his right, no threat down the line

Our best chance, armstrong great run, good cross, Samuel inches away from it

Re: Quarantine Edition: Wigan Athletic v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 27 June 2020, KO 15:00

Armstrong, samuel, Johnson on.
Gally, Travis and holtby off.

Pace up top and more defensive in midfield, might allow rothwell more freedom to go forward like Travis has been.

Re: Quarantine Edition: Wigan Athletic v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 27 June 2020, KO 15:00

Bringing on Johnson might give Downing more freedom to attack, rothwell doesn't offer much defensively.

Bennett has been fine at LB, caught in possession one or two times though.

Re: Quarantine Edition: Wigan Athletic v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 27 June 2020, KO 15:00

The pace of Samuel and Armstrong would do us well, people to chase into the spaces created by breretons dribbling, not enough pace around him at the moment

Re: Quarantine Edition: Wigan Athletic v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 27 June 2020, KO 15:00

Decent first half, we've looked good on the ball without being dangerous, Wigan had better chances but nothing serious.

Tosin, nyambe, Travis and brereton have been our best players.

Brereton looks like the one who might do something, very aggressive dribbling at Wigan, pulls players to him.
