Re: Leeds United v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 9 Nov 2019, KO 15:00

With a little optimism maybe Rovers can avoid No Points Delivered. November Playing Days of which this is the second hopefully will be better than October. Naive Participant Defending hopefully will not return to haunt Rovers.

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Sheffield Wednesday, Sat 2 Nov 2019, KO 15:00(?)

We will all take this result gratefully after a run of unlucky injuries and unfavourable results. Sheff Wednesday might be rueing their luck but Rovers deserved some and we got it today. Nothing certain in football of course and some interesting news today that Stoke are looking towards Preston's Al...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Sheffield Wednesday, Sat 2 Nov 2019, KO 15:00(?)

Slightly better news on the injuries front (it couldn't get much worse) Lewis Holtby maybe back for the Sheffield Wednesday game. Samuel and Brereton are back on th grass accroding to Tony Mowbray and need a run out in the development squad before being considered. Speaking of which Harry Chapman sc...

Re: Preston North End v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 26 Oct 2019, KO 15:00

Confirmed today that Joe Grayson is out for the season after he had surgery. I have never known so many injuries to players which are linked to one area of the squad. It will be a while before we see Lenihan and Cunningham which leaves Rovers hoping there are no more injuries around the defensive po...

Re: Preston North End v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 26 Oct 2019, KO 15:00

We can rightly criticise Walton for that flap (although Raya was also well known for bring poor on crosses too) but look at Nyambe's positioning for every single goal conceded. It's appalling. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clnUrz_8DcM All three of the Preston goals were the same. Play it up to St...

Re: Preston North End v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 26 Oct 2019, KO 15:00

Rovers simply have no resilience when the slightest thing goes wrong. Its not often you get gifted a two goal lead away from home and to be beaten after being given that lead is unforgivable. Kevin Gallagher and Tommy Spurr were commenting on radio Lancashire and both made the same observation that ...

Re: Preston North End v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 26 Oct 2019, KO 15:00

Southampton 0v9 Leicester...i hope it isn't a weekend of heavy defeats for struggling teams. From a Preston point of view there probably isn't a better time to play Rovers.

Holtby is out for a few weeks with an injury. We won't be able to field a fit team if it carries on like this.

Re: Birmingham City v Blackburn Rovers, Tue, 22 Oct 2019, KO 19:45

Our defensive injuries have really derailed our season. We looked good with Bennett-Lenihan-Williams-Cunningham but with 50% of that gone we look vulnerable at the back just like last season. Up front i cannot criticize Mowbray for buying Gallagher as i agreed with that purchase. We do need to play ...

Re: Birmingham City v Blackburn Rovers, Tue, 22 Oct 2019, KO 19:45

Some of y’all who’ve watched & followed the game for many years, hence, good students of the game, please tell me: What is Mowbray’s specialty, if he has one? Is he good at devising defensive strategies, or setting up his offense? Is he a great evaluator of talent, or a supremely good motivator of ...

Re: Birmingham City v Blackburn Rovers, Tue, 22 Oct 2019, KO 19:45

No wins since September. Difficult match away to Preston on Saturday. Rovers really need to step up tonight. They do have to step up given St Andrews is the eigth highest ground in England. Out of interest, what’s the highest? West Broms The Hawthorns is the highest. Ewood Park the 17th highest.

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Huddersfield Town, Sat 19 Oct 2019, KO 12:30

I have only had chance to see the highlights and that has to be the worst penalty descision i have seen in a long while. Bennett wasn't even looking at the Huddersfield player when he tapped his leg and even then it took the player a few more seconds to decide to fall over. Rovers are going through ...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Huddersfield Town, Sat 19 Oct 2019, KO 12:30

Cunningham and Lenihan we know about but the latest is both Grayson and Hart have picked up injuries in training... Rovers are down to the bear bones with a back four of Bennett- Williams- Adarabioyo-Bell. Nyambe is ready to come into the team and with Bennett a booking away from suspension he...
