Of course it's legal. Why would it not be. You can walk into a bookies and bet on pretty much anything (that isn't already illegal of course).

i thought he had taken a job somewhere after we appointed ince but didnt know where i wouldn't be surprised if the board have already picked the replacement given the amount of time they have had knowing ince was struggling and we they make an appointment by the end of the week

i´m not a gambler but in my 30+ years of being a sports fan (U.S) i have never heard of bookies placing wagers on who
the next manager or coach or whatever is going to be.

The press have mentioned Souness a few times, so people have placed a few bets on him already, so the bookies have given him short odds so that they're not paying out massive amounts of money if he is appointed. It doesn't mean he's close to getting the job.
this is a joke right? people actually bet on who the next boss is going to be? legally?
:-? What part of my post did you think was the punchline? :-? Does this mean that in the Land of the Free, you're not allowed to bet on whatever silly trivial matters anyone will take you up on?

Not likely.
I think i've discovered why we've been leaking goals . . .

Dan, you didn't realise Winterburn was only part-time? That was made clear when he was appointed, and in theory shouldn't have been a problem, coz surely sometimes the defenders needed to train with the rest of the team... :-?

I thought it was obvious at least one of Knox and Mathias would have to take charge for the next game. It's not like we're going to appoint a whole new set of coaches just to fill in until a permanent appointment is made.

We used to keep Tony Parkes on when he'd been advising whichever chump we'd just sacked in the 80s and 90s... What else do you expect the club to do?
