I saw Fettis playing against Stanley a few weeks back, can't remember where he's at. He had a good game, which is one more than I remember him having for us.

And another ex-Rover, Gary Croft, was a bit unlucky to get sent off after handballing on the line on Saturday. I think the ref had to give the decision, 'coz he stopped Stanley taking the lead, but it wasn't a deliberate effort to save the shot.

I think we missed out, apparently he makes a decent striker

That was mentioned when we signed him.
Was it Forest we got him from? Or County?

I do remember him having one good game for us. Can't remember who it was against though.
My undying memory of Fettis was an FA Cup replay against West Ham at Ewood that went to penalties.
Craig Forrest was netting for the hammers, and he's about 6'7". Fettis is netting for us, and he's about 5'8" when tiptoeing!
At that point, I knew we had no chance.
I think Hendry missed the decisive kick.

Eyal Berkovic also played in that match, and he didn't half get some shit. People mimicking gas being released, which I thought was out of order. Although still mildly amusing.
I think it was about 6 months later that we signed him!

A Tellytubbies XI by any chance? And the pitch was made out of custard? I had that dream once too... very strange... :wizard:

6 months? :-? Hendry left before we got relegated, we got Berkface on loan from Celtic the season we came back up. If you're on about the same tie as I think you are, Berkface got Gallacher sent off in the first game, I went to Upton Park to see it... good player, but he could be a cunt at times. Ask John Hartson...

Berkovic played for us in our promotion season. Souness decided not to sign him permanently then, and I think he went back to Celtic for a bit.

The night we got promoted at Preston, Berkovic is on the pitch celebrating with all the other players, but in his suit. Don't think he ever played for us again. We bought Tugay instead of Berkovic due to Celtic stupid transfer demends.

Dunno, I would've thought it would've been Filan though.

The thing that haunts me about that match, is how shit Ashley Ward was, and we paid £4m for him!

Just checked, and it was Filan.

Also checked when that FA Cup tie was, and it was way back in 97/98!
Around 3 years before Berkovic joined us.
Never seemed as long as that in my mind.
