I suppose the Guy will grow a pony-tail and start appearing in dubious BBC reality TV Shows next. (one step up from german Porn)
I think the criticism that Arsenal receive for "diving" is totally unfair, but it is part of popular football culture, just as much as Blackburn's rough-house tactics. Both have a grain of truth, both are exagerrated by a lazy, Avaricious medi
van persie received a lot of the said rough tactics, and received little or no protection from Wiley. Often Wiley gave the decision to the 15 stone defender standing on RvP's head. The guy took the law into his own hands, and was wrong. He is supposed to have grown out of that. He could be an excellent player, but the jury is still out.
In his defence in Spring 2005, he scored an excellent goal in an FA Cup semi final, and nearly had his head removed by the elbow of a frustrated Rovers defender. He never got to celebrate the goal. That "foul" went totally unpunished by Ref, or FA. Yet.. If an Arsenal Player had done that it would have been on the back pages/Sky Sports every day until the player was banned for 6 matches. We get crucified by the ManU/Chelsea loving media.
I'm started to agree with Blackbat - you are totally deluded. Todds elbow on Van Persie 2 years ago wasnt punished because there wasnt any evidence to support punishment. You could see from the TV replays that Todd was looking in the other direction, and Van persie ran into his elbows.
But that is in the past. Blackburn's supposed Rough house tactics are only highlighted when arsenal come to town, and that is because we know how dangerous they are on the ball, and close them down quickly, and get the challenges in. Sometimes they are slightly late - and when that happens, we take the bookings like men and get on with the game.
When something doesnt go the way of your lot, they go to ground and start crying like children. Football is a mans games, and contact is inevitable. IF you dont like it - go and watch netball.
You didnt trouble our defence at all apart from your goal. i cant remember Friedel having another save to make. In the end, we should've had the three points
