A harder game than the league cup but still think we'll win 2-0

sorry for being negative but i think we will struggle and just come out with a 1-1 draw.

Birmingham will field a totally different side form the one that got spanked here the other week and their current league form has been good against \"big four\" opposition. I'd be delighted with a 1-0 or 2-1 victory, but it's by no means a foregone conclusion.

This is going to be a tough game - I see us just shading it, hopefully

We need to switch back to a 4-4-2 - should cause them a bit more trouble. Biggest probs we have at the moment are we're not scoring enough goals - mostly coz of left wing and who to play alongside Dunny. Dare I say it, I think we need to give Peter a little run in the side for a few games (as a sub), see if he can do any better than MGP. Can't wait till Reid is back, should give us a whole new dimension.

Also, start with McCarthy and Derbs upfront I say - Roque needs a rest. Bring him on as a sub if needed...thoughts?

Agree that we should consider going back to 4-4-2 but i doubt that we will. Roque doesn't need a rest however.

Well we've gone for 4-5-1 at home with Santa Cruz as the spearhead of the attack. If we had a Rooney-esque play-maker in the hole between midfield and upfront I'd be excited.

This is a negative formation in anyone's book.

Unfortunately can't watch the game :-(

Seems like a pretty negative formation for a home game? Looks like it's working though - we're leading 1-0. Dont have a lot of posession but we seem to have the bulk of efforts on goal...

Seems like it's working to me. Bentley is ripping them to shreds and Santa Cruz looks incredible. The formation sucked against Larissa but it seems to work in the league.

Watching it on "TVU" player. I'd send you a link but unfortunately 'tis forbidden by the Gods.

:-? What's so negative about sticking to the same plan that's won your last three matches?

Anyway, it should have been a comfortable win, but we made it a bit nervy at the end. But another three points, and yet again we were the better side.

Plus the McCarthy haters will have to quieten down until for a bit now.
