Last time we played them in the first game of the season was the 2011/12 season. We lost 1-2. Why would you hope it's like that?

We played them at the end of the season a couple of times during our final years in the PL didn't we? 3-2 and 3-0 maybe?

Would like to see a line up similar to:
---------------Raya---------------
Henley Kilgallon Duffy Olsson
Marshall Lowe Guthrie Conway
----------Rhodes Koita-------

I think 4 2 3 1 - with Marshall and O'Sullivan interchanging??

Raya
Henley Kilgallon Duffy Olsson

Lowe Guthrie

O'sullivan Marshall Conway
Rhodes

-------------------Steele--------------------

Henley----Hanley----Kilgallon-----Olsson

-------------Lowe-------Guthrie-----------

Koita-----------Marshall------------Conway

------------------Rhodes--------------------

To begin with i would go 4-4-2 with someone partnering Rhodes but pre-season indicates more of a 4-3-3. Personally i don't think Raya is ready to be our first choice keeper and i would stick with Steele for the start of the season. At the back Hanley with Kilgallon as Kila looked solid last season whilst Duffy has a bit to prove. Left back is always tricky but you can't drop Olsson after last season leaving Spurr hoping he can get into the team the same way Olsson did. Guthrie and Lowe in the middle is a solid pairing whilst Conway naturally plays out on the left. I'd play Marshall on the right but i think it's clear from pre-season that Bowyer intends on playing him behind the striker leaving us short out wide on the right. Koita or Delfounso could come in there but i feel they'd be better as options up front. Since we let King and Cairney go i still feel we need another winger in the squad.

Did Steele start a preseason friendly for us?

No i believe Raya started them all but in this interview with Bowyer it suggests to me that it was about getting Raya game time and he's still back up to Steele/Eastwood.

"I think David Raya has looked impression in pre-season. He is very assured with the ball at his feet and he is progressing ever so well.

"From a goalkeeping point of view he has really put the others under pressure.

He started at Stanley.

I still expect Raya will play tomorrow, however.
