Do we need to concentrate on this Cup?

Def. All money coming in is good.

No we will get only tired legs for the league.

50-50 might get few players in form and money for the club.

Blimey if we truly can find John McClane.

Blackburn v Shrewsbury Capital One Cup 11th Aug 2015, 19:45

After a good outing, in the first 20 min. gives strong indication the team is capable of getting into Top 6.
But it will depend on the new players getting into fitness and keeping hold of Jordan Rhodes.
That is mine take which is no were related to this match thread.

So the take home will be others pitching in and getting this match thread going on a country mile run.

Well what team would people play?

I would have played Raya in this but with him starting in the league then we need to keep Steele happy and have an experienced head over what i can see being a very young side.

Steele, Nyambe, ..., Kilgallon, Spurr, Barrow, Petschi, Tomlinson, O'Sullivan, Delfounso, Koita

Not sure who we could play in those final spot there as we don't have many CBs. Perhaps that Lenihan (not sure on spelling).

I'd expect:

Eastwood, Nyambe, Kilgallon, Lenihan, Spurr, Barrow/Mahoney, Petschi, Evans/Williamson, O'Sullivan, Delfouneso, Koita.

Based on Bowyer's preference for blooding youth in the League Cup in the past.

Probably worth the trip, should be some entertainment on offer. I'd love to go, I'm just stuck flitting between Plymouth and Aberdeen at present.

Want to make a home fixture before I start the new job or it'll be Christmas before I can watch Rovers.

I'd give Steele a run out.

Nyambe---------Lenihan----Kilgallon------Spurr
----------------------Williamson--------------------
O'Sullivan-------Koita-----Tomlinson----Barrow
-----------------------Delfouneso-----------------

Tomlinson played the Under 21 match yesterday. Guess you will have to get your starting line sorted.

I'm still new to this, and learning the various cups & whatnot, but it appears we're going to start some youth and new guys, anyway. We need to see a better effort for the League Cup than last year's first-round exit.

Of the two cups, I vastly prefer the FA. I love what the League does with this. Great chance for all of England to have a chance to play Arsenal, MU, Liverpool, whoever, in grounds where SRO sometimes is the only option, and the greenskeepers may be paid in pints, as opposed to pounds! Still, lots of fun. It was great seeing Bradford humble Chelsea last year, and Blackburn's run was impressive. Reading also had a nice run.

The only Rovers' games I have been able to see live here in Texas are the FA Cup matches. I saw the Rovers/MC game two years ago at Ewood that ended in a tie, and I saw both Rovers vs. Liverpool a year ago.

You're a big boy now, you can go on your own.

ROVERS: Steele, Nyambe, Lenihan, Kilgallon (c), Spurr, O'Sullivan, Evans, Williamson, Marshall, Brown, Delfouneso.

Subs: Raya (GK) Koita, Rhodes, Duffy, Guthrie, Barrow, Conway.

Williamson, Evans and Brown    I was hoping to see Koita and Barrow start and Petshi at least feature. Hoping O'Sullivan and Nyambe impress.
