What is your feeling of the managerial change cycle.

It would be difficult for Simon Smith to Help GB clear his desk.

First game of the season on TV and against a struggling rival... dare I say its a 'must win' already at this stage of the season. My personal expectations of this season are low, we've assembled a side from the proverbial 'Sunday morning car boot sale' of talent and were going to always take time to adjust to Gestede's departure. However the pressure from the fans in the stands is going to make this a 'must win' tie. I dread to think of the backlash if we lose to them.

It seems to me that slowly our performances are coming together, though we are lacking a little luck upfront. Hopefully Rhodes will be back in the side and we give Bolton a bloody good tonking!

As always I'll be cheering on the lads regardless!

Either a clean sheet 0-0 draw or a win is only thing acceptable for me. Need to prove that Rovers can hold defensively at the same time, need to show Rovers can score.

First (and probably the last) game I'm going to this season.

Hopefully can make another one or two around Christmas.

Could really do with a win to stop the already escalating hysteria.

Where abouts are you based Franco?

Out of interest, how big a following does Rovers have in India? Has Venkys ownership successfully cultivated an Indian fanbase of any size? Did you come about to supporting Rovers through Venkys takeover? What kind of response was the tumult after takeover met with in India?

It will be very difficult to say the following Rovers will have in India as they are no were on TV.
In all you might have few pockets of fan based on the initial period of takeover based on curiosity and soft corner for an Indian owner.

Has Venkys ownership successfully cultivated an Indian fanbase of any size?
No if they do win any competition they will be noticed and followed but to cultivate fanbase is a bigger exercise.

India has football fanbase more than one thinks beginning a century old.
The Durand Cup is the third oldest football competition behind the FA Cup and the Scottish Cup.
There is a derby 0f 89 years old(Mohan bagan Vs East Bengal) both club are from Kolkata.
In an whole when you talk of India there are only few regions where football is played in the back yard.
(Kerala, Goa, Bengal, and the North-East states.)
And it remains the same to a lager extent expect for the advent of I-League(Snail Pace) and Now ISL in other cities.
ISL def. is being prompted in the right way but has competition from other sports as entertainment like Pro- Kabaddi.

Did you come about to supporting Rovers through Venkys takeover?
No in-fact I started watching Rovers Play through Rovers TV during there Championship first season.
Jordan Rhodes was the key man, he is such a delight in front of goal.
Although I did not enjoy the games played by Rovers much but kept going on seeing JR Score.
Over the time I started more of just watching to supporting with the event going on and wanting the Club to do well.

What kind of response was the tumult after takeover met with in India?
General nothing, football was not connected with people and it passed out as a general news expect those few who follow PL.
If the take over had happened now it would have created great buzz. The PL is trying to get foothold in the fanbase and are on awareness drive.
With ISL also making in Roads to increase fanbase, Rover would be a big hit.
