As far as I'm concerned we could do a lot worse than looking to Damien Johnson the next time we need a new manager.

He's doing a fine job with the reserves.
Damien Johnson talks about how vital the midfield trio of Hardcastle (captain), Travis and Tomlinson have been to the U23’s continued success.

Rovers U23s are now one point off the title, Damien Johnson and the lads have had a fantastic season.

Even the Under 14's have had a brilliant season. One game away from being crowned national champions.

Still this. Damien Johnson seems to have got the U23’s consistently punching above their weight. Fantastic young manager, who I would hope is learning the rest of the job too.

I agree re Johnson, but fear we'll lose him . TM has a three year contract, can't see Johnson staying around that long.

And now the U18’s win 2-1 against Man Shiteh, courtesy of a brace from the excellently named Chanko Zimba. :hyper:

Samuel bags hat-trick for U23s against Spurs

Good on the lad. He's been out injured for a long time so it's good to see him banging the goals in. Hopefully it won't be long before he's back competing to be in the first team.

I noticed you can watch the u23's take on Derby at 14.00 GMT today for free on their official site here if anyone's interested.

Just register an account with them and leave the fanID box blank.

Did anyone else watch the u23's take on Leicester last night? We absolutely anihilated them in the second half 4-0. Chapman had a great game, but the stand out for me was that lad we just signed from Celtic, Connor McBride, he looked fantastic when he came on. :hyper:

That after a good win against Man City last week too.

I will admit, I did not notice them for a long time after I became a Rovers fan (2013). I’ve been watching their results closer the last year or so. Very impressive. For those who think Rovers aren’t dedicated to winning in the future, they need to look at our developmental squads.

Billy Barr leaves to join Gary Bowyer’s team at Salford.

Barr’s been ever present for the U23’s fantastic run over the last few seasons, and I’m quite disappointed he’s gone.
