Because younger players lack consistency because they are still learning and developing. Those dire games therefore happen more often. They then have a disproportionate impact on the player and can harm them in the long term.

A bit hard that, Mcteeth.
Not really. I just don't like Newcastle as a football club, much like I don't like Man Utd.

Surely just part and parcel of being football fans

Who cares about the result. Rovers put up a good show and took a premier league team to a replay and gave them two goals start and could have won the game. Unfortunate how things finished but sometimes you get lucky sometimes you don't. There is no blame at all on the Dack miss. He was not well before the game and we all know if you are ill then you don't work too good. Eventually in the FA cup you come up against a team that spends more money on one player than Rovers will spend in several years on a full team. Burnley play that team next. So if we had got by Newcastle and Watford there could have been a ten nil drubbing waiting. No thanks.

Sorry you couldn't progress tonight. Only got the result a short time ago and wanted you to do it. Seriously, commiserations.

Worked in our favour though going to extra time. We play you at the weekend and probably after tonight your players may be a little jaded and weary and we need every point that comes our way to survive this season. Can't make the trip up this time but we'll probably bring a fair few after the last game saw a victory. We have many new players after the recent transfer window but a lot of our own supporters don't really know anything about them given how obscure some of the names are. Forward line looks a bit more effective though than before.
