Hoping for a 3-0 win but got a win none the less. Buckley got some minutes, Butterworth as well. Brereton got a start with Rodwell. Pretty happy with the selection overall.

Thor,
What lineup do you expect to see at Norwich Saturday- something like today?

No gripes from me; 4 in a row, & beat a relegated side today, playing lots of youth.

I expect a carbon copy. If anything, might see Armstrong hit the bench for Danny Graham and Brereton sit in that spot. Expect to see Chapman on the bench for Conway.

I would think because it's Norwich and they are a very strong side, they go for a strong lineup.

Norwich are nervously finishing the season. If Rovers go full strength against them next Saturday... Who knows...They will not be looking forward to facing a team with four wins back to back.

4 wins on the spin and Brereton score. Lovely stuff 8-)

Good to see Buckley and Butterworth get some minutes too.

Travis should be fine for weekend thankfully.

Pleased to see that Rodwell got a standing ovation when he was subbed - our most undervalued player imo.

This 100%. I really hope he gets a contract renewal, but I assume he won't because of Mowbray's love for Corry 'Can't Score' Evans. I also assume Mowbray may be looking at other midfielders in the summer window as well, someone in the mold of Wil Trapp (defensive and can hit a long ball).

To be fair, Evans isn't on the field to score. Unlike Brereton who finally broke his duck......

Though I still don't understand how Evans gets near the team, mind.

That is fair to say. In the past two seasons, he has only 1 assist according to Transfermarkt. For someone in the midfield, I expect a couple more assists at least, especially if you can't score goals.

I don't know, I just think he is a really poor man's Gareth Barry.

Barely got out of 2nd gear today. The 2 times we did we scored. If we could have been arsed we’d have won by 5/6 today.

A very poor man's Gareth Barry.

However, midfielders don't just provide goal scoring opportunities. I'd be intrigued to know Claude Makele's assist stats, I doubt they'd be very high as he got a nosebleed if he ventured further north than the centre circle. But still: a world class defensive midfielder who allowed his team mates the freedom to create those goalscoring opportunities.

If only Evans did that.....

End of the season, safe and with nothing to play for. Not surprised they couldn't be arsed. Shows how bad Bolton are, really!
