Has Chapman played in pre-season? I can’t remember his name on the team sheets? :yeahright:

Squad Numbers announced
Image
New signing Christian Walton takes the number one shirt, which was vacated after David Raya's move to Brentford earlier in the summer.

Another new boy takes the number four, with Bradley Johnson having the digit that he wore during his time at Norwich City.

Sam Gallagher is our new number nine, with Dominic Samuel moving to the vacant number 12 shirt, which hasn't been used in the last couple of seasons.

Ben Brereton swaps 19 for 20, with recent capture Stewart Downing now wearing Ben's old number. Downing was 19 during his two spells with Middlesbrough, and also had the number for a fair few of his England appearances, too.

Please note, we are awaiting confirmation from the EFL regarding Tosin Adarabioyo's requested number.

Huh? Has he asked for Pi or something?

He played under 53 for Man City for a while, although it's hard to tell if he requested that or if that's just the size of their squad.

No number 5, I'm guessing Lenihan was offered it and turned it down, shame. Or is there another arrival in the offing?

I watch a lot of MLS, and he has been decent overall. Had a good group of players to play off of. Overall, he doesn't move much though. Still clinical.

The debate has already started over Derby who were said to be soon suffering the restrictions of FFP but now can afford wayne Rooneys alleged 100k a week wages.

FFP was never about what could be 'afforded'.

Harder than you might think what with the fixtures (stupidly) being copyrighted material.

Did we ever find out the rationale behind that?

It's probably safe to assume it's money.
