Apparently the Championship kicks off the weekend of August 3. Is it my imagination or is this early?

Might have something to do with the UEFA Championships summer 2020.

Start of August is perfectly normal, we kicked off on the first weekend last year too.

Probably for the best. He's been a great player and a hard worker, and may be missed, but I feel he's dropped down the order a bit now and we've got younger players coming through who are as good. All the best to him.

When are the fixtures announced? Gutted that Sunderland didn't make it. Charlton only bring a coach load whereas the Black Cats can fill up the Duggie end.

I will be interested, particularly in fixture dates Sept 15-25 (my trip to England)

So at 9am Thursday the Rovers fixture list will be announced. How long before SKY puts their dirty mits in and tell us the list is nonsense because they want us to play Friday night, Saturday lunchtimes, Saturday tea time, Sundays and Mondays?

Looks like I whiffed on seeing Rovers at Ewood.

I might get to see them at Reading on the 21st.

Charlton at home first game. Might be the easiest game of the season. No Patrick Bauer to score a last minute winner of course. Yeah its a potential banana skin but if you don't start the season with a bit of positivity then you might as well give up now.

stewart downing eh? Will replace Conway I suppose. Somewhat underwhelmed that our first signing is a 35yo Middlsbrough cast off.

I am fine with the signing. It really feels like we just got someone with more street cred.
