Johnson, scores when he wants, LoL
Other than Walton, least likely Rover to score?
Two points vs Stoke & Swans. I truly thought we’d get four. Well, perhaps these two were a huge effort by this squad.

Nyambe. That's who's least likely to score.
Full-time, hard fought and deserved point. Really wish we got the win, some extremely questionable refereeing decisions. But so glad we pulled out a draw. Swansea really played some serious shithouse football at the end, time-wasting at every possible minute once they grabbed the lead in the 49th minute.
Preston losing gives Rovers an open opportunity still.
Brereton needs to be given more time out. He was rather influential in the 2nd half. Got the penalty call, kept the ball at his feet and drove with it. Honestly, he should be starting in front of Samuel. Credit to Gallagher too for playing a really good first half, and having the tenacity to play a roving attacking midfielder in the 2nd half when we made the substitutions.
I think we need to look past Graham now. All he is really good for is set piece situations and being a target to lay off for. And even then he is in a diminished capacity.

Haha. I wondered how the hell he managed such an amazing curler into the corner - massive deflection.
Scoring late always feels like a win. Though 2points out of 6 at home is obviously very poor. We still lack a decent goal-scorer....how many chances did we miss again?? I lost count.
We have to play a lot of the 'top teams' in this division now. Where with games running out draws are not going to be good enough.

I guess I will allow myself to think about @Derby & Bristol now...
At least we get Lenihan back vs Bristol.
If we can luck out in either of those two, we might maintain playoff push. Unlikely, it’s true, but with two ties this week, aren’t we closer to final playoff spot than we were before Stoke?
One more thing...
The fact Rovers got a point today, with a makeshift squad, and hardly anybody playing their proper positions, I must give credit to Tony and the team. It’s a shame Danny did not finish off that penalty, or the succeeding attempt. BB seemed to bring some energy when he came in. Bennett as another who may be nearing the end in the Blue & White. We can only hope Travis isn’t badly hurt.

What a wacky league; WBA loses at home to Wigan. I think Leeds has all but sewn up promotion. Fulham should win playoffs.

Oddly with 2 frustrating draws where I think 4 points would have been a good return we've still gained ground on Preston. 3 points from 6the so plenty to play for.

Agree with Waco that Danny,Bennett and Samuel probably won't be wearing blue and white next season. We really need the youngsters to step up to the mark and earn their wages. My big fear is losing Lenihan, Travis,Nyambe or Dack,if we can hold on to these four we've only got the ch and position to resolve if we keep Cunningham. Tosin has said that he'd like to be captaining Man City within five years so I don't hold out much hope of keeping him although I just wonder if we could squeeze another year's loan out of City.
At long last Bretherton and Gallagher are making meaningful contributions - we may even see them both get a start next week!

Disappointed in the last 2 results but if youd asked me a week ago, if I'd take picking up 2 points on the nobblers I would have taken it.Thorisgodpoo wrote: ↑Sat Feb 29, 2020 5:27 pmWith Preston losing, we gained ground.WacoRover wrote: ↑Sat Feb 29, 2020 5:13 pmI guess I will allow myself to think about @Derby & Bristol now...

It's a bit concerning that we haven't won for 3 games.
Does anyone think we will get into the Championship play-offs? It's been a long while since we have legitimately (i.e. - after the game weeks completed fixtures) even been in the top 6. In fact, wasn't it the season we first got relegated from the Premier League?
Over 7 years ago!!!??
It would be a bit strange wouldn't it? As largely due to injuries we have a threadbare team and it's arguably 'worse' than we've previously failed with at this level (look back at what Gary Bowyer had to play with).

I feel like we were in playoff position for a week this season. None the less, we are really hobbling along with the bare minimum.

The playoffs seem tantalisingly close, we could be playing cat and mouse with 6th place until the end of the season, although a couple of defeats could see us slip too far behind now. At least if we do make it we'll be going into them as a form side.

Hello all, Chester FC supporter here.
My team didn’t have a game on Saturday so I went on a groundhop to your game as I had never visited Ewood Park before. I have compiled a match vlog which shows some of the action, atmosphere, plus loads more, so feel free to watch if you wish:

Best of luck to you for the rest of the season.
Thanks, Rio Doherty.
