He plays that position for Namibia very well so I don't see it as a problem. Equally less of an issue given that we're playing Swansea who won't be spending 90 minutes lumping high balls into our box.RofTheRovers wrote: ↑Sat Feb 29, 2020 2:21 pmI know Mulgrew hasn't played for ages. But due to Mowbray's very poor defensive dealings in the transfer market we have ended up in this position.mcteeth wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 10:15 pm
I know Nyambe is a real asset driving forward down the right but my preference would be to move him inside and put Bennett at RB. It keeps Tosin left side CB where he has been at his best and Nyambe and Bennett can both play in those positions.
Williams looked ropey last time he played and not not sure what we'd get from Mulgrew. Been a while since he has played a Championship game.
Anyway, the fact he was in Glasgow the other night and he's not even made the bench today when we have a defensive crisis more or less confirms the 'rumours' about the big falling out at the end of last season.
For me Nyambe isn't a centre back. He can't head the ball. I fear if Swansea play direct and get the ball in the box we could be in for a torrid time.
Rovers 1-2 Swansea.

Is this really the 2nd tier of professional football?
Week after week the officiating is atrocious.

Anybody feel Swans got off lightly there?
Rothwell with a good chance.

It's been very poor generally for the whole division this season. Feel like the EFL will have to address it in the summer.RofTheRovers wrote: ↑Sat Feb 29, 2020 3:14 pmIs this really the 2nd tier of professional football?

That's more like it. Nyambe in his better position - right side wingback putting in the cross for Gally.

Full back position again.
No surprise really. There was a stat in our recent televised game to say we we're top of the league of losing points from winning positions.

Gallagher has done his positioning right this whole match thus far. Kind of surprised by some of the referee decisions too, stamp on Downing looked a bit like of a yellow, Garrick should have been a red, a couple dives by Brewster.
Overall though, Rovers are playing well. Samuel seems to be the weak link for me, really hasn't produced much inspiration or creativity. Hope to see Chapman/Brereton come on around the 60th.

Even our thinking is flawed.
Armstrong is the man in form and our current no.1 penalty taker.
Shit all round.
