Would be nice to not concede 2/3 goals having defended like total punters.

Rothwell in for Evans with Trybull sitting. Nyambe in for JRC.

More tricks than treats today, I’m afraid. What are we missing, 8 guys? The transfers haven’t taken hold (yet).

It’s a tough division. Coventry walloped Reading yesterday. Perhaps Rovers can take a point today, I would be content with that, on the road vs a top-6 club.

Would just be nice to see us not be overly open trying to score 10 and losing 3-2 as is our custom.

We can still press effectively, and be dangerous with the ball and we know we can score goals.

Hopefully Evans is nowhere near the team today.

Bell and Douglas isolating so JRC to left back and Nyambe back in. No Rothwell still so we have Evans again

I think you’re right, the only real chance we have today of getting any points.

Pears, JR-C, Williams, Lenihan, Nyambe, Evans, Trybull, Holtby, Brereton, Armstrong, Elliott.

Maybe if Armstrong gets a hat-trick, and Elliott gets another, we have a chance

Really hope Rothwell isn't too long term, and Douglas and Bell being out for 14 days is absolutely awful. Even when you think bringing in left back reinforcements helps, they both need to self isolate. I imagine that's going to set Douglas back getting up to speed a bit.

Half time, pretty uninspiring stuff. Getting decent possession with no real service. Armstrong having the best 3 chances for Rovers. That corner for Swansea that led to the goal was too easy for Lenihan to give up. Essentially couldn't get any leverage on his man to bully him out of position. Not sure what the answer is, but Evans irks me when he makes those marauding runs to press. I also feel like the more i keep thinking about Lenihan, the more I think he's just bang on average and needs a really good CB partner.

Badly at fault for the goal but think he massively improved afterwards.

I don't have an issue with conceding goals it's part of football but it would it just currently is always as a result of us just being really shit for a moment. Swansea have done nothing and been quite poor yet 1 corner, 1 free header and goal.

We really should have scored as well.

Just massively disappointing. We win possession every game, and get lots of shots on goal, but conceding way too easily.

I'm not sure what the answer is to our problems, but playing from the back seems to not be the answer.

Full time, Rovers go down 2-0 to Swansea City. I believe not having Kaminski, Dack, Travis, Johnson, and Douglas/Bell is really taking it's toll. Playing from the back doesn't win games when you're down. Credit to Mowbray for taking a risk and putting on Gallagher and Dolan for Evans and Brereton. Really need a result against Middlesbrough.

I reckon Lenihan needs some time out of the side. Williams doesn’t deserve dropping and shoehorning an unfit Ayala in too great the best out of Lenihan doesn’t seem right. The only problem is that Ayala is still unfit and I don’t know if Wharton is an improvement on Lenihan.

Can't continue with the narrative of playing really and being unlucky when we concede 2+ easily everytime we play anyone half decent.
