Middlesbrough on red hot form, prepare for a shithouse spectacle.

Pretty much confirmed no Armstrong which is a huge blow but Rothwell will be back.

Warnock is the master of shithousery so 2 things that would be a big error on Mowbray's part would be to put JRC in defence on either side as he'll get targeted much like he did at Swansea. Nyambe at RB still for me and put Downing in at LB. Also starting Dolan in Armstrong's absence, he's done nothing wrong at all but looks quite ineffective in recent games when coming on after his brilliant start. I'd just expect him to get bullied by an overly physical defence.

Probably makes sense to stick Gallagher down the middle and keep Brereton left and Elliot right.

Hopefully we can't stop defending like prats and a little bit of luck falls our way in front of goal.

I read somewhere Downing isn’t playing today. A question of fitness perhaps; for my money, a questionable Downing is still better than any of our other options.

Yes, if ever there was a time to put Gallagher in the middle, this would be the time.

If we can just hold on and get a point or two, Dack, & Travis will be back. It won’t solve all our woes, but even a point right now would be highly welcome & greatly encouraging.

Shame if Downing is out. Guessing we'll see:

----------------Pears
Nyambe Lenihan Williams JRC
--------------Trybull
--------Holtby----Rothwell
Elliot-------Gallagher-----Brereton

One can only hope Gallagher is sat in the middle up top. Really tired of seeing him on the wing. But I bet we see Elliot sit back more of an attacking mid and Gallagher is thrown out as a wide forward.

Looks like we will shape into a 4-4-2

Pears
Nyambe-Lenihan-Williams-JRC
Elliot-Trybull-Holtby-dolan
Brereton-Gallagher

I think it'll be 4-3-3, Elliot in midfield, Dolan, Gally, Ben along the front.

You're probably right, Elliot had a brief spell in midfield last match.

Hopefully I'm made to look stupid but wouldn't have started Dolan. He's looked lost in recent matches.

0-0, HT. For all the talk about what a genius Warnock is, (at least on the other board), one would think they would’ve scored two or three on us already. I have to say our makeshift defending have held up pretty well.
