I still can't quite believe that Ayala is Rovers' highest paid player.Thorisgodpoo wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 3:34 amI honestly don't want to see Ayala playing. He didn't inspire a lot of confidence for me, seemed like he has a completely different skill set to what we need with our play style.

We would have been better off signing Paul Downing again, that's just criminal Ayala being the highest paid Rovers player. Hopefully only on a one year contract.

Nyambe will be out for this game sadly, picked a thigh issue on international duty and neither Ayala or Williams will be fit. So guessing JRC back over to RB, Lenihan and Wharton with either Bell or Douglas at LB.
Good to see Wharton get another game and no preference on LB as not been overly impressed with Douglas to date.

So important to have strength in depth. Holtby, Travis, Evans and Dack missing but Rothwell and hopefully Downing back, however I'm guessing Buckley will get a start. Not sure what to make of this lad - got stacks of promise but I can't help thinking he's not quite ready yet.

Buckley is the kind of lad who would miraculously be the solution to all our problems if we had let him go, I reckon. Just like Alan Judge, or that left back at Barnsley, who to be quite honest with you had never crossed my radar until he played against.stillgrowling wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 4:21 pmSo important to have strength in depth. Think we'll see:
----------Kaminski
JRC Lenihan Wharton Douglas
----------Johnson
----Buckley--Rothwell
Elliot---Armstrong---Brereton

A swap of Trybull with Buckley and you got it.
Re: Quarantine in a hat edition: Blackburn Rovers @ Luton
I nearly thought it would be Trybull, but thought it might be Buckley given the opposition. I've been really impressed with Trybull, good looking side today.

Trybull is one of those players that goes unnoticed a lot until he needs to put in a solid block.
Re: Quarantine in a hat edition: Blackburn Rovers @ Luton
Can't fault him since he's been playing for us.
Think Rothwell will score today

Not a bad team, though I think we'll miss Holtby.

0-0, HT. Luton started out well, Rovers started getting possession, and had a couple of chances. Overall, fairly typical day at Kenilworth.
Maybe Downing comes on in the 2nd half and give the club a lift.

I find Nathan Jones and how his Luton side play very dislikable, really hope we get get going in the second half and win.
