My glutes feel very tense from that squeeky bum time.
Solid win,needed it.

That's the difference from last season when we'd have dominated play and lost by the odd goal.
Does anyone else dislike the ifollow commentary? Much prefer Andy Bayes and Kevin Gallagher on Radio Lancs.

I had to go to a funeral this AM, but I’m very glad to see the final score. Kinda tense at the finish, but a well-won 3 points.

Love the technique on Gally’s goal, outside of the boot, no back lift on the half volley while using the defender to block the keeper’s view!
Let’s just hope the injuries to Douglas and Wharton aren’t bad, neither looked long-term as they went off.

Gallagher and Brereton looking like new players. Wharton honestly looks like a half decent centreback at this level (hopefully taking him off was precautionary because I don't want to see Hayden Carter start). Midfield 3 of Holtby, Trybull, and Rothwell are the best we can make up without Travis and Dack (which will certainly make things much more difficult later on in the season). And Armstrong is just absolutely a beast.
As the match overall, it was just a matter of time before Barnsley wore themselves out on the high press. That, and having three tall, immobile centrebacks was going to kill them as well. We are really fortunate to find a goalkeeper in Kaminski, he absolutely should be given that match ball for the saves he pulled. Real shame he didn't keep the clean sheet.
I am worried about Douglas, for the fact that Bell is just so suspect and every club knows if he is on the pitch, he is the weakest link. However, he did have some good attacking moves that finally shone why has a spot on the squad.

Wharton substitution precautionary. Douglas may have torn his bum.Thorisgodpoo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 9:52 pmWharton honestly looks like a half decent centreback at this level (hopefully taking him off was precautionary because I don't want to see Hayden Carter start).

I do sometimes get a little annoyed by the iFollow commentary, but that's largely because it's so biased which is to be expected. But think it demonstrates that commentary with balance is a good thing.stillgrowling wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 5:25 pmThat's the difference from last season when we'd have dominated play and lost by the odd goal.
