Quarantine On Night Shift Edition: Blackburn Rovers v Millwall, Wed 2 Dec 2020, KO 1945
Hopefully don't get mauled by the lion.

Douglas confirmed as out, Ayala fit again and Wharton probably okay. Sounds like Douglas will only be out for a short time.

As long as we get attacking left back Bell and not try to play defensive Bell, I will have to accept that. It just really sucks to not have JRC in this situation.
Re: Quarantine On Night Shift Edition: Blackburn Rovers v Millwall, Wed 2 Dec 2020, KO 1945
Bell is okay, he isn't as good as Douglas (even I'll eat my own words there) or JRC but he is good enough. Expect him back for the weekend and we need some rotation.
My biggest worry is that we have no JRC or Bennett until Jan probably and I can't see Nyambe lasting that long without a niggle here or there.
If Nyambe gets injured not sure who I'd play there, maybe Trybull?

I think we promote a u23 right back temporarily and use him. Otherwise, Johnson, Trybull, Davenport don't have the skill set. Downing would probably not work, but the most likely candidate.

Will be great if we can get another win tonight, otherwise a little bit of a gap may open up again to the top 6.
Get the feeling Mowbray will make some changes tonight, think Brereton might be benched to give him a rest and possibly Lenihan as well. Think we may well see:
-----------Kaminski
Nyambe Ayala Wharton Bell
-----------Johnson
------Holtby----Rothwell
Gallagher--Arma--Elliot
Could also maybe see Buckley come in perhaps to give Holtby a rest. But I guess with the 5 subs it's easier to rotate and not have players do the full 90 minutes.

That is still a pretty salty 11, mcteeth... I like it, and expect something similar.
Rovers have the Championship’s leading scorer, and lead in goal diff... we need all three points, going into two tough roadies, followed by Norwich. Lions have five straight, low-scoring, ties. Rovers have won 11 pts of the last 15, let’s keep it going! COYB

BB Arma Gallagher
Elliott Johnson holtby
Bell Ayala Lenihan Nyambe
Kaminski
We’ve got 17 points in the 7 games Rothwell has started; I see he’s on the bench, if he’s fit enough to be on the bench, why isn’t he starting?

Rest and rotation I think, surprised to see Brereton start but it's a good looking side. Millwall are going to sit deep so Rothwell's speed driving forward not as effective against a side camped in their own half. Perhaps the thinking is that Elliot will be better equipped to create some spaces for the strikers.

Elliott! Left foot, right side

What a goal. First bit of football (not just smashing the ball up field) and we score. Holtby playing super deep and just playing long ball. If he doesn’t then Kaminski is just smashing it up field.

Quite a snazzy finish that

Bah, surprise, nothing is easy.

Millwall playing the much better football. Looks like the teams have swapped round for the day.

Yes, we need to recover somewhat at HT. Rothwell might be the difference-maker coming on.
