Stuck with some gibbons flinging poo*
*I don’t actually know if gibbons do this, it just rhymes quite nicely with Gerry Rafferty’s original couplet. Apologies to all the hygienic gibbons out there

Got a feeling we'll win today.

Johnson off injured, Buckley on
Shame because now Davenport has to play deeper and I was looking forward to seeing his contributions going forward

Branthwaite has just high kicked Fry in the face
100% should be a penalty

Red card and penalty every day. Apart from today.

Pretty painful watch so far, can’t say we’ve looked particularly interested in attacking

Rather boring match to watch for Rovers. Nothing doing for them.

Now that is a sexy goal, what a reverse ball from Arma
Clinical stuff from our front 3, and credit to Nyambe for battling for possession

What a win. Not classy but that's the type of stuff you need to put yourself in a place to compete.

Never a red card in a million years. Accidental and a foul yes.
Cory Evans had his eye socket fractured and player wasn't even booked.
Branthwaite eyes on the ball the whole time, not his fault he is 6'5", was it a nasty injury of course no one like to see that but it's not a sending off.

Accidental can still be dangerous of course. I've only just seen it but you could easily see that being a sending off. It should have been a penalty clearly.

I don’t think we should use the Corry Evans incident as a measure of correct procedure. If I recall rightly the referee didn’t even stop the game after that. Both incidents were clearly dangerous play, it’s not a stretch to me to award a red card. Carelessness isn’t a defence in this instance.mcteeth wrote: ↑Sun Jan 24, 2021 7:24 pmNever a red card in a million years. Accidental and a foul yes.
