End of Jan having drawn away at Luton we were on 53 points with 17 games to play. Was such a simple task to cement a top 6 finish and we have somehow completely messed it up.
We've amassed 10 point in nearly 3 months

Almost like we were suddenly short on someone who could score goals.

Even with that the results have been woeful. Too many last minute goals conceded after having missed easy opportunities.

Goals change games. When you don't miss easy opportunities, you find yourself in the lead and the nature of the game changes. It's hard to underestimate the impact it has had. However, we should have invested in January to keep things going and it was an obvious weak area. As I said at the time, if not now then when?
Course, we might not have the money (in a FFP sense) to do that.

Armstrong scored a lot of goals but also missed a lot of chances.
We've been missing penalties, open goals and then allowing very soft goals conceded late in games. It's just a real shame and does appear to happen every season with TM, as good as he's been overall.

I don't understand why we are letting him on the pitch in the first place.
