Iamarover's tedious predictions game.

Post by iamarover » Wed Sep 17, 2008 3:03 pm

who wants to play a game? it might be rubbish, who knows?

The idea is for a last-poster-standing-wins recurring prediction scenario.

To start with, I'll pick a match from the prem fixtures of a weekend and whoever wants to play will select home win, draw or away win. Anyone who guesses correctly gets to participate the next time we play*. We keep playing, with less and less participants until only one poster is left and they get to feel incredibly smug.

After we have a winner we start the whole thing again but the winner gets to pick the fixtures.

* in theory every weekend, but if the gamepicker forgets there'll be no game that week.

The game picker should choose something fairly midtable so we won't get everyone going for a man utd home win vs hull, for example.

To clarify, in week 1 if everyone votes for a home or away win apart from one lone draw voter, and the match is a draw, that voter wins straight away!

Like I said, this could be rubbish, but if you want to play, guess the outcome of :
GAME 1, round 1 : Saturday, 20 September 2008 Sunderland v Middlesbrough, 12:45

As this fixture is all north-east I'll accept Howaaaaaay win (for away).

I however will be voting Home win.

Do we have to go for score and non-score draws?

If so, score draw, if not, draw.

nope, just home win, draw or away win.

If game 1 goes on forever we can look into score/no score draws.

oh, and if everyone playing a round loses they all get to try again next week :dunce:
