Ricciardo fastest on Top Gear. By quite a bit. Backs up what we saw from him last year.

Re: F1
Any chance of a link to watch it?
In other news, thoughts on Manor? I'm hoping they make it back but i doubt they will now. Sadly see Force India being the next team to go.

Incidentally, the engine noise this year is much better, judging from this.

Re: F1
Sauber have to race VDG after losing their appeal meaning one of the their pay drivers will have to be dropped. Huge financial problems at the team trying everything they can to keep VDG out and the two huge sponsorship drivers in.
Alonso aiming to be back in Malaysia and to me there is still something being hidden about his crash. Some people say he was electrocuted but there's something being hidden either way.

Re: F1
So, only fifteen cars start, one of which might as well not have bothered, and Mercedes clearly head and shoulders above the rest. Dull season in the making then....
Interesting that Sauber didn't start VDG...

He dropped his claim to a race seat this weekend in order to allow them to race.mrblackbat wrote:Interesting that Sauber didn't start VDG...

Re: F1
Had to laugh at Alonso's little rant about them looking like amateurs when he was asked to save fuel

RIP Jules Bianchi

French Formula 1 driver Jules Bianchi has died, nine months after suffering severe head injuries in a crash at the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix.
Bianchi, 25, had been in a coma since crashing his Marussia into a recovery vehicle at October's rain-hit race.
His family said: "Jules fought right to the very end, as he always did, but today his battle came to an end."
The Marussia team, now known as Manor, said Bianchi had left an "indelible mark on all our lives".

Re: F1
Bianchi had real talent, too. Could have seen him carving out a decent career in Formula One. Easily the best in the Ferrari driver development programme.
Sad loss.

Re: F1
R.I.P Jules, could easily have seen him partnering Seb at Ferrari next season.
Re: F1
Yesterday's Grand Prix was probably one of the best races I've seen in a long time. Lots of overtaking, safety cars and crashes. Glad Hamilton has won the title again
Re: F1
The McLaren F1 concept car looks absolutely stunning
Just makes you wonder how they'd change the tyres
