F1
Re: F1
They same way they change them now? Those are just covers over the centre, you can see the tyre walls.
Re: F1
I meant the guy who actually pulls the tyre off - bit hard for him to put his hands round the tyre and drag it off with the wheel covered like that
Re: F1
Wouldn't they use the handle in the middle? Anyway, no doubt it comes with automated tyre ejection systems to pop them off on request. Turbo charged ones. With sponsors on.Hudson wrote:I meant the guy who actually pulls the tyre off - bit hard for him to put his hands round the tyre and drag it off with the wheel covered like that

Am I the only person who thinks it looks a bit shit?

Channel 4 to take over F1 coverage as BBC end their contract early
Shame, I like the BBC coverage and lack of ad breaks.

Re: F1
Channel 4 cricket was greeted with moans too but it was the best coverage we ever had. But then they made the bizarre decision to appoint Ortis Deley as an athletics pundit...

Re: F1
The rules in F1 are seriously starting to take the piss this year, mainly over what is acceptable to tell the driver over the radio. This weekends comedy:
Rosberg slows down by 0.2 seconds and is deemed acceptable under double-yellow flags
Button gets a drive through penalty because the team told him "not to shift gear" after a break failure. Somehow this is not seen as a safety issue

Re: F1
So the title comes down to the last race, with Rosberg just needing to finish 3rd if Hamilton wins and he'll be champion.
Quite a good race yesterday. I'm glad I watched the highlights as i think watching lap after lap behind the safety car, as well as being red flagged twice would have been a bit boring. Lot's of spins and crashes, along with some absolutely amazing driving by Max Verstappen again.

Weirdly, it was one of the few times recently where I've actually sat and watched it all. It wasn't actually that boring either, as there was genuinely no clues about what would happen next. Great race though, the crowd by that last corner certainly got their money's worth.Hudson wrote:So the title comes down to the last race, with Rosberg just needing to finish 3rd if Hamilton wins and he'll be champion.

Highlights are definitely worth watching for anyone who hasn't seen it.

Re: F1
He knows he's never going to be able to beat Hamilton again, basically.
