Re: The Computer Games Thread
That YouTube video that was going around with the crap alien dinodeer just made me want to play it more to be honest.
I'll see if I can find it and meet you all back here in 5 minutes.
*edit ~ Here we go...

So apparently, Gandhi is just as nuke happy in Civ 6 as previous versions. He declared war on me three times in my current game, but didn't have nukes. Got the sharp end of my nuclear subs and jet bombers and is no more.....

I've started up again over the weekend, purposely avoiding the main quest. Trying to do more with settlements and crafting.Rover the Top wrote:I was surprised to reach the end of the main story in Fallout 4 last night. I guess I now need to go exploring to find more side quests, but it feels a bit short.

Re: The Computer Games Thread
Anyone play Kerbal Space Program? Just doing the tutorials at the moment, which have obviously been designed to make rocket science seem really easy.....
I'm sure when I start trying to do my own they'll all crash immediately!
Think it's going to end up being quite the time sink....

Re: The Computer Games Thread
Mr BB I’m a huge Kerbal fan. Best thing to do is start small, perform science experiments around the space station and on Kerbal first to get enough science to unlock better components. Then go for space and re-entry and finally orbit. From there I’ve managed a mun Landing (with difficulty) and have tried to get to the further moon without much luck.
Packing your rocket with enough science experiments and then performing them at different altitudes eg atmospheric, ground, sea, low orbit, trans-lunar orbit etc. Also check out Scott Manley on YouTube.
He’s generally recognised as the authority on the game and his tutorials are pretty great.

I've not tried the career mode yet; just a few of the tutorials (up to and returning from orbit) and a few piss abouts in the sandbox mode.

Yarp, it was amazing; right up until they stopped bothering programming it or developing the story....
If they really do it right, will be a great game. The haunted house in the original remains one of the creepiest gaming experiences I've had alongside the creepy girl in FEAR and the face huggers in the original Aliens Vs Predator; and the character options and development were awesome, way beyond what the likes of Fallout and Elder Scrolls do.
