Hero's

Post by Rover the Moon » Thu Aug 02, 2007 11:05 am

Anyone watching this series?

I've watched the first 4 and I'm yet to work out if it's decent or not. It's a bit like lost where not much happens, the plot doesn't progress but you feel a bit compelled to watch the next just in case.

It's also far easier to watch without the 30 mins of ads that a usual 1hr programme comes with

Watched the first two, and had the same impression - My only fear with shows like that is that 7 or 8 episodes down the line, it ends up ruling your life.

I deliberately didn't watch lost, but rented the box set so that i could watch them on my own terms (Don't have any kind of recording facility for the telly)

Looks good, but i'd be intrigued to hear whether it turns out to be worth it - I thought \"point pleasant\" looked interesting at the start. (I know, i'm a grown man. But it did. honest)

I tend to PVR programmes and watch them at my leisure these days. I can also filter out the ads.

The problem with series like this and Lost is that they usually never conclude because falling ratings spell their doom before they can wrap up the plot.

Watched it all a few months back. Well worth sticking with, and it's far better than Lost. :-D

And it all wraps up neatly, so don't worry.

Gibbo does it conclude after one series or is it the usual american cash cow that they drag on for a second?

EDIT: Just wiki'd it and apparently the 2nd series start in the states in september and the writers have already written it so it drags on for FIVE 24 episodes series'

not yet... it was resolving lots of things up until the last episode and then they threw it all open again.

although the reason they had started fucking around with the story was because it was only supposed to last a few series... but the TV execs threatened to carry on without the current team while it remained popular.

apparently it is all resolved and they are sticing to the original plan... will still be about 5 series but it should be a conclusive ending.

someone died that i didn't want to.... boo hoo.

Oh no, don't go there, i've got loads left to watch, don't you dare. Right, that's this thread off limits for me for a few months.

Hmm, can't find a "the fear" emoticon.

Great, 5 series

I saw the first 2 then SKY bought it as C4 didn't want it after falling ratings so now I have to wait for series 3, 4 and 5 to drop onto SKY3 about a year after SKY 1
