Today's random stupidity story...
Re: Today's random stupidity story...
Do you think you two can manage to be in the same room without bickering? Brian and I are organising a poker night in a getting the band back together type way.

Re: Today's random stupidity story...
The "criteria" wasn't furloughed people. It was just people. I fit in that criteria.Rover the Top wrote: ↑Thu Apr 08, 2021 9:53 amSo every time someone makes a comment about "people" you assume it applies to yourself, even if it you don't fit the criteria of what they're speaking about? At least I can see where you're going wrong now... "Most normal human beings" would recognise there is a group of "people" that have been "having days off" over the last twelve months, and a group of "people" who have continued working, and understand that qualifies who he was speaking about. The fact you've been working rather than having time off literally excludes you from the "people" he was referring to. Strangely, you seem completely unable to see how batshit crazy it is to think otherwise. Your other comments are largely irrelevant because they're based on your false premise. And given how completely intransigent you always are, I'll leave it there.
People who were furloughed also weren't having a "few days off" by any definition I would describe, so clearly it can't mean them by your ludicrous finicky standards.
The context is about having an additional bank holiday. Which would clearly benefit and apply to me, as someone working. In fact, there are more people working than furloughed. So it would seem rather odd, would it not, to dismiss the idea purely based on those that are furloughed? I think it says a great deal that you can't see how the comment is completely derisive...However, when asked at the Conservative party spring conference on Saturday whether there should be a special bank holiday when the pandemic subsides, Johnson said people should be thinking more about getting back to work than having more time off. “The general view is people have had quite a few days off, and it wouldn’t be a bad thing for people to see their way round to making a passing stab at getting back into the office,” he said.

You'd still lose even if you did, Rob.

I think I have a reasonable average to be honest. It helps if Adam isn't playing with his totally random all in with nothing hands.
