Re: Obituaries...
Sucks... I've seen a Golden Eagle in scotland before... it swooped down to about 10ft above the road we we're driving on. They're very impressive that close in flight.

Re: Obituaries...
I saw the one at Haweswater - we were on top of Kidsty Pike when it soared up out of the valley, circled above our heads, then dived back down into the valley out of sight. Like you say, they're very impressive and it was a special moment.theadore wrote:Sucks... Re: Obituaries...
One golden eagle on its own isn't much good, mind.

Really glad my wife forced me to go to the Leeds gig a couple of years ago now.

Yeah. Doh!
Re: Obituaries...
Didn't know whether to put this here or in the music thread.
Well, firstly, RIP Prince. So glad I went to two of the crazy hit'n'run gigs in London few years ago. Caught the second show of his first night, and the second one at Koko (which was ridiculously long.) Easily the best 2 gigs I've ever seen.
The only purple lining has been lots and lots of rare footage going up on youtube without, so far, being taking down.
Such as the whole Hop Farm gig which is a lot of fun. (Highlight being his Sinead O'Connor dig)
A younger Prince with Miles Davies. Love the way he conducts the band here.
And plenty more including (finally) the HQ version of his superbowl performance, the (imo) best version of Purple Rain ( 20 min version in NY 85).

Re: Obituaries...
To quote Myles Jackman, I hope Cohen is with Janis Joplin, giving him head on an unmade bed.
