Re: Current Events/News
So the EU have published a redacted version of their contract with AstraZeneca... which seems to say exactly what AstraZeneca have insisted all along.

Re: Current Events/News
Perhaps worth mentioning now we have the actual figures that deaths did exceed 1000 a day each day from 9th January to 29th January, with the highest figure on the 19th. But they didn't reach the "record" announced on the 13th.mrblackbat wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 12:31 pm
Anyway if you want to get irate, you should be calling out our mainstream media for announcing record days of deaths whilst failing to note that by their metric, there were record reductions in that rate over Sunday and Monday. Because they can't get their head around the data they're using is a meaningless stat, and there's only been a single day in the UK with more than 1000 deaths within a 28 day window to a positive test, back on the 8th April.
Perhaps we should do tier 5 on Tuesdays and tier 1 on Sundays and Mondays.....

Re: Current Events/News
Who would have thought that a bunch of politicians who have spent the last 18 months giving hundreds of billions of tax payers money to their mates while using "but pandemic!" as an excuse to avoid any oversight of who and why those people were chosen might also be breaking the rules they were telling everyone else to obey.
Not to put too fine a point on it but this is a pathetic excuse for a government who are shafting us all on a daily basis. Screwing their wife, screwing their assistant, screwing you. And yet people are still voting for them. What. The. Actual. Fuck.
I despair of people.

Probably doesn't help that all the alternatives think the government isn't screwing us enough.Ethiaa wrote: ↑Fri Jun 25, 2021 1:39 pmWho would have thought that a bunch of politicians who have spent the last 18 months giving hundreds of billions of tax payers money to their mates while using "but pandemic!" as an excuse to avoid any oversight of who and why those people were chosen might also be breaking the rules they were telling everyone else to obey.
