Maceo Rigters.
Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery
Winston Bogarde also seemed happy enough

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery
The Malmo links have started, not that I'm complaining. Ahmedhodzic and Berget, CB and RWB/RW respectively. Ahmedhodzic in particular could be a steal, was playing Lique 1 last year and wants to leave Malmo permanently. 6'5 so a big lad and international experience. Berget I'd be less keen on but he would bring some good experience which we lack and is trusted by Tomasson; I'm still hopeful of keeping Nyambe myself.
Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery
I'm just waiting for the links to Martin Olsson

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery
CB situation is starting to look worrying with Wharton's injury and Ayala's record. Really need to try and bring someone in, be it Van Den Berg or otherwise.
Worrying murmurs in the press about Philips and Tottenham, but I don't see why he'd leave especially given he'll play here and has the example of Markanday to look at for the lack of pathway at spurs.

Get away
You get a good job with more pay and you're okay
Money
It's a gas
Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash
New car, caviar, four star, daydream
Think I'll buy me a football team
Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery
If Spurs did land Phillips I'd suspect he may be loaned back for the season.
My only gripe is if we don't get him to sign this contract then we're losing a potentially huge asset for very little but it's somewhat out of our hands.

JDT conformed we're aiming for 3 players before deadline, not sure if that's factoring BBD departure. His links seem to be heating up finally, the Nice offer was insulting but I'd take 15m plus.
Hyam and Caulker the two big names, especially as the JVPH and van den berg deals have gone off. Don't know much about hyam but seems decent, liked caulker back in the day and would add another experienced guy, but Philips deserves more than 6th choice. I'd be happy to take one of these two and roll with Ayala, Wharton, Carter, Philips and one more.
If we sell BBD another forward might be useful, but Dack, Dolan and Markanday have all been good in cup games. A fourth centre mid seems more vital, since beyond Travis, Buckley and morten we're light, unless Edun and JRC play there (or Jr wharton and garrett are expected to play).
