The drop shot could be a very good shot for him. Problem is he tends to attempt it every single game sometimes. A bit like Djokovic used to, who's mastered it now.

Ok so maybe when I said he was THE most boring player around I was exagerating, (that title belongs to Hewitt or Nadal). But there are much more exciting players to watch. The 3 I've mentioned are, not just because they are the best around, but because they are all exciting to watch, for different reasons. I wasn't calling Murray boring purely because of his game. His game is similar to Djokovic's in some respects. But Djokovic actually has an personality, unlike Murray who just get's angry with himself and acts like a spoilt brat.

But... but... but... Nadal was in your list of three players who you'd rather watch! :-o And you then mention him again in the same sentence as being more exciting to watch! PARADOX PARADOX PARADOX ALARM ALARM ALARM IT IS THE END OF THE WORLD!!!!111!!!eleventy!!!!

I meant to put Hewitt or Roddick.

There's no way I'd call Nadal boring.

Nadal's a bit of a freakish anomaly, but Murray's career so far has been pretty similar to Federer's. There's two main reasons why his talent isn't recognised by the general British public. Firstly, he's more likely to win the US Open than Wimbledon. Whilst in world tennis terms the two competitions are equal, your casual British observer only bothers with the game for two weeks every summer. That means he could win all three other majors, and people would still call him crap. The other issue is, his career has been focussed on whilst he's been developing. Brits never heard of Federer or Djokovic until they were really good. But they've seen Murray fail as he's been learning, and don't appreciate that only now is he at the stage when he should be compared to the best around.

I won't be surprised if he wins the US Open, he's good enough, and he was the form player across the Atlantic, prior to the Olympic distraction.

Incidentally, in the doubles, the Murray's lead the second set 2-0 after losing the first 6-4.

I don't like Nadal. Nothing to do with his playing style, his attitude, or even that his left arm is 3 times larger than his right.

He's just got the worst dress sense ever.

Murray won't win the US. Mayve next year.

Andy Murray is a complete asshole. Do you guys not remember when he dressed in a football shirt when England were playing in 2006 world cup ? Think it was Paraguay, not sure now. well he wore the shirt of Paraguay! And made it public that he was cheering on any team England play, The bloke is asking for trouble! its a shame we can enter the Olympics as England, we'd still pretty much the same amount of medals. maybe a few less.

I don't understand why a load of people were pissed off about Murray saying that he was following any team that England played. He's Scottish so why should he be expected to hope England do well in competitions? If it was the other way around no one would have made any comment about it.

But he represents Great Britain as a whole and not just Scotland.

Do you have evidence of him wearing a Paraguay shirt? Because that was all made up. The comment about supporting whoever England played was in response to a reporter sarcastically asking him if he'd be supporting Scotland at the World Cup - if you hate someone off the back of quite a good joke, then you've got problems, in my view.

It is typically English to slag off any home-grown sports person with ability, though. The press go out of their way to blacken the name of anyone with talent. I don't get it.

He's an atypical British sportsman. Therefore he's no chance.
