Exactly. Bolton will only be in financial trouble if Eddie Davies decides he can't or doesn't want them to increase the debt owed to him to cover their excessive spending. Like us, they were always going to suffer heavy losses this time. The only difference is the clueless journalists aren't able to claim it's down to foreign owners not knowing what they're doing. In fact, it's the people writing the articles who don't understand what's happening. Multi-millionaires buy football clubs to spend their money, not make more.
And no doubt the same people who criticise clubs for accruing debts to their owners also think Vincent Tan is wrong to be angry about his manager and head of recruitment spending £15m over the budget he gave them. When that is a problem that could threaten the future of the club if he's not able or willing to cover it.
