Scones are nice with syrup and clotted cream. As too is maple syrup bacon. Heart attack to follow soon...

There was a big relief from Bolton fans when they were officially relegated on friday. Maybe they will be hopeful Rovers fans have that bad a memory though i m sure the vocal element a Ewood park will be more than happy to remind the wacky wanderers of their trip to Accrington next season. Rovers of course have no such worries. Or do we?..plenty of clubs have done well in the first season back in the championship but failed in the second season. There is only Sheffield United who have kicked on since promotion from league one in recent years. I dont expect Rovers to struggle next season but if we lose Dack and Danny Graham's age becomes more of a factor we will have to look elsewhere for the goals. Our third highest goal scorer is Mulgrew and we can't rely on him scoring twenty goals next season! The general thinking is we need a new goalkeeper and central defender. What might arise should we lose Dack is can we rely on Armstrong, Brereton and Nuttall to get the goals. We have plenty to look forward to with Rothwell, Chapman and Davenport hopefully playing a bigger part next season but without Dack and Graham just who will score twenty goals next season. Ipswich lost there main goal scorers last summer and look what has happened to them. Rovers cannot rest over the summer and Tony Mowbray may need to spend some big money on a proven goal scorer at championship level.

I doubt if PNE fans will agree that Sheffield United are the only team that has 'kicked on' after promotion from Division 1 -they have turned into a solid Championship side after a shaky start.
I feel sorry for Dominic Samuel who fans forget is our no.9, he has become Ewood's 'forgotten man'-hopefully he will come back better and stronger.
My main concern for next season (after Dack) is the retention of Reed , a cracking young player who imo didn't get enough game time this year.
It goes without saying that a new goalkeeper is a must - after last Friday's horror show from Leutwiler,. Mowbray would have nightmares if Raya suffered a long term injury.
Back to this afternoon - will there ever be a better game to blood a couple of youngsters?

Sorry but i do not see Dominic Samuel the answer to any of our problems next season. Apart from some last season early form he did not do much after. If he couldn't make the grade in league one i fail to see how he can be considered championship standard.

I am expecting Bolton to come in with energy, & desire; the team cannot afford to take them lightly, as relegated Bolton. Nothing comes easy for this team, so I’m not expecting this to be easy. Having stated the obligatory cautious, it would be nice to get the league double over Bolton, 1st time in 9 years.
