Misses Swansea and Derby :-x
With no defenders on the bench today, that makes the next two matches very problematic.
I think Williams will be okay for Swansea. If not we can move Nyambe centrally and play Bennett at RB.

Somehow, I feel cheated, and I didn’t pay for anything.
Gotta win vs Swans, I guess

Gawd dammit! I expected it to be pretty bad, but that was even worse than I thought.

Full time, 0-0. Fully expected with a relegation battling club that's just looking to survive. I just hate seeing these matches because Stoke didn't look to actually win at any point, just to defend. None the less, it's a point on the board and getting the win would have been very beneficial, but we still got something.

Butland played very well, covered every shot very well. During that last 10 minutes where we were lumping it forward, we didn't have anyone in midfield to pick up that loose ball. Something to look at in the future.

Just looking to Swansea now. However, I must think about what kind of personnel we have available the rest of the season:

Losing Lenihan for the next two really hurts us defensively. It couldn’t have come at a worse time, even if Williams is back. I would say this practically guarantees starts for Bennett.
Does Mulgrew have any chance whatsoever to get into the 18?

I think Tony will have to go with some kind of combination of Armstrong, Rothwell, Travis, Downing, Johnson, Samuel, & JR-C. The fact Brereton doesn’t get in, when Armstrong is generally the only guy to score, speaks volumes. I have to assume going forward, Gallagher has had his chance, & won’t get many more.

Does Magloire not come in to the equation?

If ever there was a time for Mulgrew, this is exactly it.

Watching Arsenal tonight makes me realise how terrible the official time keeping was last night.

Arsenal were give 3 mins 30 added time in which to try and salvage the game in just a 15 minute extra time half with no obvious stoppages. The simple maths puts that at a whopping 10 minutes 30 in a full 45 minute half.

And yet including 2 massive stoppages (play acting) we were given just 3 minutes last night. And a similar thing happened against Brentford - when their player was pretending to be almost dead and then magically appeared to be okay.

There should be a law that states they should be taken off the field and/or subbed immediately. That would put a stop to it.

Anyway, back to tonight. Arsenal lost  though they did miss a sitter to win it in their unjustified 'fix-time'.
It's nice to see the Arsenal fan boys whining.
