Barnsley with three changes... we’ve had chances, and whiffed them. Big Ben coming on?

Absolutely no end product. Why Samuel even makes the bench is beyond me. He is such a waste of space at this level.

Just tired of seeing Dominic Samuel lose out with one on ones. Probably would have been better off starting Chapman.

4 subs, Graham, Brereton, Gallagher, Davenport on for Holtby, Armstrong, Samuel, Rothwell.

Genuinely the worst red card decision I've ever seen.

Have to blood the youth now, no chance of playoffs losing to Barnsley and Wigan. Who cares about results, we beat last season's total and are deffo safe, find out who is up to it; Chapman, magloire, Grayson, davenport etc

Everything seems to have gone to crap. Against the worst team in the division. I bet Rovers somehow beat Leeds though. I haven’t forgot those identical 1-0 home-and-home over Newcastle when they led the Championship, and we were swirling towards relegation.

We do play to the oppositions level/league position, we've looked decent against other top half teams then shat the bed against relegation teams; losing to luton, Charlton etc

Thoroughly confused and frustrated with the last two results. I don’t want to be a “Mowbray out” goon, but we appear to be spinning our wheels. Beat a decent side in BC, then lose to two catfish teams.

Show me a manager who’s currently out of work, we probably don’t want him. I’ve said all along Tony deserves the full year before any decision is made about his & Rovers future. But these last two results sure leave a bad taste in my mouth.

What is most frustrating is his reliance on Elliot Bennett to do everything for him. He is too cautious to try something new. Granted, the 4-3-3 system is something new, but Rothwell and Holtby are not set up for it at all. Without Evans and Travis to play muscle and hustle, Downing is left to play that role.

Overall, I hope he goes back to the formation drawing board and picks something different. Also, hopefully Bell and/or Williams are fit, along with JRC and Travis. Lastly, Samuel needs to not play. At all.

It appears Samuel missed two good chances today.

I Know you’re not saying it’s all on the players, and I don’t think it’s all on the players. Tony has to accept responsibility for some of this, as the team had every motivation necessary to play well in these last two games. But that brings another question, is the team able to play well? Guys like Bennett, Johnson, Graham & Downing might’ve had days in the PL, but they are on the decline now. Same with Mulgrew.,Then, Bell & Williams never came close to that level. Tony chose many of these players, & some have played for him before. He cannot continue to rely heavily on them.

But spending so much on young strikers who aren’t producing, are the coffers nearly bare? Or, FFP rules dictating we have few pounds to spend? Finally, if this is true, how likely are we to see new blood come in during the off-season?
